Overview

About Department of Civil Engineering

National Central University Civil Engineering (NCUCE) currently has 25 full-time faculty members, 16 joint appointment professors and 16 adjunct lectures in seven specialty areas: mechanics and structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, material engineering, water resources engineering, geo-information engineering and information technology. In 2009, the department has 392 undergraduate students, 215 master students, 85 doctorate students and 71 students for continuing education.

The department has class advisors for undergraduate students. The students confer with their advisors for problems related to curricula, campus lives and career planning. The department staff also offers teaching assistants, and after-class session for required courses. The family members of our students could comprehend the campus life of NCUCE via the open-house events.
