The department offers a broad spectrum of courses in the area of structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, engineering material, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, geo-information engineering, environmental engineering, construction management and information technology. All the courses are designed to combine theories with practical experiences. At the end of each semester, students have opportunities to evaluate courses taken and give comments to the faculty members to adjust their teaching.
Undergraduate students should have 128 course credits, with 96 credits of required courses and two engineering design courses, in order to fulfill the requirement of graduation. The department plans to decrease the required courses and increase the selected courses in order to have more flexible curricula for the students in the future.
