This center has been known as one of the mwst important and the largest technological unit in Asia. the prime mission of this center is to comduct and facilitate academic researches on Structural Mechanics, Earthquake Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and Fluid Dynamics. Its primary missions are in the research and teaching of space and remote sensing related sciences, and in the development of new remote sensing technology and applications. Currently, there are more than 110 personnel working at the center including: a director, chaired by one of the professors; a secretary; researchers that include professors, associate professors, assistant professors, and assistant researchers; technicians that include specialists, engineers, artificers, technical workers, and contract employees associated with various research projects. In addition, the faculty members at the center are jointly appointed with the other departments where they offer courses and supervise graduate students related to their relevant expertise.
